Refashioned in 2017, Studley Castle is the newest addition to the Warner collection. It has Grade II listed status and 180 years of history, but now also a contemporary outlook. There’s something for everyone. Ornate ceilings, wall pannelling and gargoyles create a sense of regality, tranquil rooms offer a great night’s sleep, and the cabaret diner plays host to nightly shows and bands.

Hotel: Studley Castle is a Grade II* listed house and grounds set in Warwickshire near beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon and The Cotswolds. Accommodation includes historic suites in the Victorian castle, a new wing and contemporary rooms in the former stables and lodge. The Stables Spa offers a complete feel-good experience with an indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and steam room. There are three historic lounges, an indoor shooting range, boutique cinema, free bikes to hire and traditional games in the grounds.

Garden space: Studley Castle has 28 acres of grounds with rolling countryside views.

Brasserie32 in the Arden Terrace: The breakfast and dinner menus champion British heritage recipes and traditional ingredients from the 1900s in an elegant setting with an outdoor terrace. Hospitable table service makes it even more of an occasion.

The Market Kitchen in the Evesham restaurant: The cabaret restaurant serves breakfast and three-course evening meals with à la carte waiter service. It has a stage for live shows every night.

Interesting facts:

  • Grade II* listed house and grounds
  • Designed by Samuel Beazley, a renowned theatre architect, in the Gothic Revival style
  • In 1903, Lady Warwick purchased the building and transformed it into the Studley Agricultural College for Women to provide horticultural training to daughters of the gentry
  • Requisitioned by the government, it became a training camp for the Women’s Land Army during the First and Second World Wars and remained a women’s-only college for the next 60 or so years
  • Spa facilities, plus treatments and makeup in partnership with Temple Spa, Jessica and Mii Cosmetics.
