Quiz hats and comedy seats at the ready! Russell Kane, Ken Bruce and David O’Doherty among stars to appear at Warner Hotels for two new weekend breaks

Warner Hotels has teamed up with Radio Times to bring nation-favourite comedy legends and quiz hosts alike to deliver intimate live shows at two of its spectacular properties, giving holidaymakers the chance to experience top-class entertainment from their favourite stars.

The first of the weekend getaways will be the Radio Times Quiz Weekend taking place from 23 – 26 August at Studley Castle, a Grade II Listed property set in acres of Warwickshire countryside.

Guests will dust off their best general knowledge in a first-hand experience of the much-loved PopMaster quiz show, hosted by none other than national broadcaster, Ken Bruce, and radio producer, Phil Swern. They will get all the behind-the-scenes insight with exclusive interviews from ‘Fingers on Buzzers’ podcast hosts, Lucy Porter and Jenny Ryan.

The exciting quiz will be topped off by a lively disco with radio and TV presenter Toby Anstis, where guests can dance the night away in the late lounge.

For those less into trivia and more into stand-up, the hotel group is also offering a Radio Times Comedy Weekend at Heythrop Park, a spectacular stately manor nestled in the Cotswolds. From 13 – 16 September, guests will see comedy legends Russell Kane, David O’Doherty and Hal Cruttenden take centre stage, alongside hilarious improvised performances of Jane Austen novels from the all-star Austentatious cast – topped off by another DJ set from Jenny Powell.

Both breaks will offer guests the opportunity to enjoy unwinding in the spa, touring acres of scenic grounds, or trying their hand at something new with activities such as archery or cocktail making classes – before indulging in three-course dining and watching some of their favourite entertainers on the big stage.

Tony Roberts, chief commercial officer at Warner Hotels, said: “We’re no strangers to hosting the stars at our hotels, so we’re thrilled to announce a truly showstopping line up at two of our exceptional properties in partnership with Radio Times”.

“We know our guests return to us time and time again for top-notch entertainment, and we’re certain that these new breaks will leave guests with unforgettable memories of some of the best on-screen legends for years to come – alongside all the holiday joys they need included in the price.”

Breaks start from £449 for three nights, with breakfast, three-course dinners, live music, access to spa and leisure facilities and activities all included within the price of the break.

Bookings are now open, and guests are urged to act quickly to avoid missing out. For more information, visit www.warnerleisurehotels.co.uk/breaks/experience-breaks/radio-times-weekend
