Warner Hotels, the leading provider of UK short break experiences, is celebrating the launch of The Runnymede on Thames hotel with its very first celebrity event. The opening follows a multi-million-pound refurbishment of the 205-room hotel and marks the latest phase of investment in its portfolio, which has seen more than £80 million of renovations across three properties.
World-class experiences have been central to the strong performance across the group, with DJ Sara Cox hosting Just Can’t Get Enough 80s, her first short-break experience at The Runnymede on Thames. The sold-out event is in a program of weekenders, including breaks featuring Craig Charles Funk & Soul House Party, Bjorn Again, and Gareth Malone OBE, the UK’s favourite Choirmaster.
The opening of The Runnymede on Thames comes as Warner Hotels reveals it expects a record year, with more guests than ever before booked to stay at one of its 16 hotels across the UK.
Warner Hotels’ bank holiday short breaks have been the most popular with guests, with the early May weekend achieving an increase in occupancy level of almost 14%. More and more guests are also taking the opportunity to enjoy a Warner getaway for the first time, with 29% of bookings coming from new guests.
Upgrades to The Runnymede on Thames, include a brand-new purpose-built entertainment venue plus three distinct food and beverage experiences, a relaxation hub with an award-winning spa and leisure facilities. Guests can enjoy a range of outdoor activities and riverside attractions, from archery and clay pigeon shooting to river boating on the Thames to nearby Windsor.
eythrop Park in the Cotswolds has also benefited from a complete transformation with considerable investment, whilst Thoresby Hall has received a significant upgrade to its accommodation.
At Warner Hotels guests can enjoy axe throwing and archery; delicious dining and sumptuous spa sessions; and electrifying live shows and entertainment. The chain also offers special weekends such as recent Ibiza Sunsets featuring world-famous DJs.
