Councillor Richard Parker opening the hotel

Local councillor cuts the ribbon to officially open magnificent country hotel

A glorious manor house hotel has opened to guests new and existing, following a grand reopening ceremony.

Heythrop Park, part of adult-only hotel group Warner Hotels, has undergone a complete transformation over the last four years into a stunning country retreat – boasting 337 opulent bedrooms, three restaurants and duo of show-stopping entertainment venues.

The country escape was officially opened by Enstone Councillors Nikki Knott and Richard Parker, who cut the ribbon and got a glimpse inside the new hotel following its £40m investment.

Nikki Knott, chair of Enstone Parish Council, said: “Heythrop Park has been such an integral part of our community in Enstone for many years, and local residents have fond memories of the estate in its many forms – I remember cycling around the grounds in my childhood!

“We’re delighted to see Heythrop Park restored to its original beauty, and it’s wonderful to be able to celebrate our history for generations to come.

Richard Parker, fellow member of Enstone Parish Council, also said: “I actually used to be a pastry chef at Heythrop Park during the 70’s, so it really is fantastic to be here once again and experience all its grandeur. It’s such a lovely setting with stunning grounds to explore, and being only an hour away from London makes it perfect for commuters.

General manager, Dean Saunders, welcomed guests to the new Heythrop Park and offered an insight into its adult-only offering, encompassing stunning live entertainment, exciting activities such as archery included in the price, delicious dining and idyllic surroundings.

The hotels expert team then provided a guided tour of the facilities, including countless chic lounges, vibrant bars, outdoor terraces, a dazzling ballroom theatre and brand-new spa.

Since joining Warner Hotel’s portfolio, the Grade II*-listed baroque manor’s historic features have been lovingly restored, to comprise an impressive fusion of 18th century splendour and modern luxury.

Attendees on the day received a taste of what guests can expect, enjoying afternoon tea in the Wedgewood Room before having chance to try their hand at laser clay shooting on the expansive manor lawn.

Dean Saunders, general manager at Heythrop Park said: “It was truly special to welcome our neighbours to join us in celebrating Heythrop Park’s grand reopening, and I’d like to give special thanks to Nikki and Richard for taking time out to officially cut the ribbon.

“We’re so excited to welcome guests through the doors to experience our long-awaited biggest and boldest hotel yet.”

Set among 440 acres of scenic parkland, Heythrop Park offers the perfect getaway for all tastes. Guests can spend their days enjoying strolls through picturesque parkland, unwinding with the host of activities on offer, or taking in the scenes during a round on 18-hole Bainbridge Championship Golf Course.

Those after some real R&R will find ultimate relaxation in the hotel’s spa, complete with indoor pool, a brand-new thermal and sensory suite and offering a host of beauty and wellness treatments.

A two-night stay at Heythrop Park with breakfast, three-course dinner, activities and entertainment all included, is available from £189 per person. To find out more or to book a  break, visit: warnerleisurehotels.co.uk/hotels/heythrop-park-hotel
